construction steel. Sulfur can produce sulfide iron that can be easily melted,

can also form inclusion which can not only make steel layer but also can cause
stress concentration that reduce the plasticity and impact toughness of steel. Sulfur
is one of the most serious impurity segregation in steel, the more the greater
the degree of segregation on the performance of the thickness direction. Phosphorus
are dissolved in ferrite, in the form of solid solution, this solid solution is
very fragile. The segregation of adding phosphorus is more serious than adding sulfur.
The rich phosphorus area makes steel brittle and reduce the plasticity,
toughness and weldability of steel. Therefore the steel plate with Z
performance should have qualified guarantee on the content of sulfur and
phosphorus, the control of sulfur content is relatively heavily.
