  construction perlite Product Description   Perlite The material comes from volcanic lava.It is a kind of  amorphous, glassiness volcano that contains crystalline water inside.  For expanded perlite has low density and low heat conductivity characters,  it is widely used in construction and manufacturing fields, lightweight plasters and mortars, insulation, ceiling tiles and filter aids.  In horticulture, it makes composts more open to air, while having good  water-retention capacity. It is good carrier for soilless plant. Since last few years,expanded perlite is more and more popular in cryogenic use.    For insulation:   The unique properties of perlite have found wide acceptance in the insulating of cryogenic low temperature storage tanks (particularly for the storage of LNG), in shipping containers, cold boxes (Air Separation Units), test chambers and in food processing.
There are many different types of design concepts for low temperature and cryogenic storage vessels. However, most are double wall construction with the annulus filled with expanded perlite.   Advantages: Perlite insulation exhibits low thermal conductivity and has excellent thermal properties. Low cost, easy to handle and install. Non-combustible, meeting fire regulations and therefore lowers insurance rates. Does not shrink, swell, warp or slump. Inorganic material that is vermin, and rot resistant.
