Petroleum and petrochemical pipelines
Oil field is a large capacity, and it is also a big energy consumer. The total amount of thermal insulation materials used in petroleum and petrochemical each year accounts for about 1/4 of the total heat preservation material in the country. A large number of pipes and thermal equipment need to be insulated. Petrochemical thermal industrial insulation mainly aims at 100~500 high temperature pipeline. The purpose of thermal insulation is to prevent the temperature drop of the medium from affecting transportation or high temperature injury.

Aerogel's special structure makes aerogels different from the heat insulation of other porous materials. Aerogel composites are made from amorphous silica gel and substrate felt under supercritical conditions. The aerogel can effectively reduce the high brittleness of the aerogels and enhance the valence bond structure between them and become the most promising super thermal insulation materials. Different aerogel composites were prepared according to different temperature. According to strength and softness, the composite products can be divided into two categories, aerogel blanket and pneumatic rubber sheet, and the gas rubber sheet is customized. The effect of using aerogel insulation felt
(1) the ladle with aerogel insulation felt the target of reducing the shell temperature of 50 degrees centigrade, and the average temperature drop reached 60.5 degrees C.

What is aerogel?
Aerogel is an advanced material which holds 15 entries in the "Guinness Book of Records" for its unique properties, including lowest density solid and best insulator. Aerogel is a silica-based substance consisting of a loose dendritic network of the atom silicon. Aerogel is manufactured by removing the liquid from a silica alcogel and replacing it with nothing but air, which makes up 99.8 percent of the final product. Some aerogels have a density as low as .001 grams per cubic centimeter (.0005 ounces per cubic inch). Aerogels are good thermal insulators because they almost nullify three methods of heat transfer (convection, conduction and radiation).
