The BASIC HOOD is usually detachable. It is attached well down the collar of the jacket using press studs or a zipper and forms a reliable weatherproof unit with the jacket itself. The hood can be adjusted to give an exact fit, with hook & loop tabs and/or a draw cord system for individual adjustment of the field of vision and volume, and thus follows the natural turning movement of the head. An integrated peak that stands proud of the hood enhances the weather protection. Chest Pocket
