The thickness of Aluminized Layer usual is 1000 Angstroms per side , The thickness of Aluminized Polyester Film usual is 2micron , 2.4micron, 3micron , 4micron etc.2micron or 3micron Double sides Aluminum metallized Polyester film specifically fabricated for use in alpha and beta particle radiation detectors as a light-tight radiation window.

We accept custom thickness of aluminized layer from 600A to 3000A . Radiation detectors usually use Two layer double side aluminized polyester film 8" * 4" Pieces or 2.75" And 3.75" Square pieces .We accept custom any size.

Aluminized polyester film is a kind of reasonably priced materias that will allow the passage of alpha particles while blocking all light。 The Aluminized polyester film is usually used in two layers that will be assure light tightness. Two layers makes it less likely that any two pinholes or defects line up to allow passage of light into the scintillator.
