Its total potassium contents is up to 45% (K2O, dry basis), especially suitable for plants or area in need of large amount K, not only increase the yield but also improve the production quality. It contains little chloride, so there is no risk of burning leaves or roots. 100% water soluble and fast dissolution makes it suitable for any irrigation system.

Used in fertilizers, as a source of nitrogen and potassium-two of the macro nutrients for plants.
Used in black powder rocket motors, but also in combination with other fuels like sugars in "rocket candy".
Used in fireworks such as smoke bombs, made with a mixture of sucrose and potassium nitrate.
Added to pre-rolled cigarettes to maintain an even burn of the tobacco and is used to ensure complete combustion of paper cartridges for cap and ball revolvers.
