Blue Enamel Cast Iron Roasting Dish

 

Classic oven-to-tableware in a choice of striking bold colours, both with a contrasting cream interior.
Suitable for cooking in the oven and on the hob (electric, gas, ceramic and induction).
Dishwasher safe.
Take care when using ceramic and induction hobs as they can be easily scratched.
 
Before use:
  • For casseroles and saucepans boil approximately ½ pint / approximately ¼ litre of milk together with a spoonful of oil. Discard and rinse.
  • Grills, frypans and dishes should be preheated for approximately 15 minutes on a low heat, left to cool and then reheated at normal heat.
Use:
  • Prior to cooking you can preheat the item on a low heat for several minutes. This will subsequently reduce the cooking time required.
  • Use a ring or hob plate that is close in size to the base of the pan.
  • Cast iron is an excellent conductor of heat ensuring an even heat distribution during cooking. High settings should not be needed.
  • Cast iron retains its heat. The hob can be switched off or turned down a short while before serving. The food will keep warm and energy saved.
Cleaning:
  • Cast iron should be easily cleaned using a nylon brush and a general washing up liquid. Do not use scouring pad, knives or steel/wire cleaning pads.
  • Should any food remain, soak for a short while in warm, soapy water.
