NBR O-rings are both inexpensive and simple in design and are therefore very popular in manufacturing and industry.  O-rings used in hydraulic cylinders prevent leakage of hydraulic fluid and allow for the system to create and withstand the pressures required for operation.

About NBR material:

Due to its excellent resistance to petroleum products, and its ability to be compounded for service over a temperature range of -25°C to +100°C, Nitrile /NBR/BUNA is the most widely used elastomer in the seal industry . Also many military rubber specifications for fuel and oil resistant O-rings require nitrile based compounds. It is often necessary to sacrifice some high temperature resistance. Nitrile compounds are superior to most elastomers with regard to compression set, tear, and abrasion resistance. Nitrile compounds do not possess good resistance to oil paint solvent, ozone, sunlight, or weather.

For nbr material, hardness from 40 shores A to 90 shores A. Color could be black, green or purple.
