Since the belts are suitable for vertical conveyance at angles of up to 90 degrees, they are ideal for applications where space is at a premium. At the expanded production facilities in VITURE, in addition to conventional production using the cold-bonding method, customers also have the option of having the corrugated sidewalls and cleats attached through vulcanization. This results in a particularly heat-resistant connection, which enables the conveyor belts to be used at even higher temperatures. In addition, a newly developed rubber compound for corrugated sidewalls and cleats ensures that they cope with the high demands of especially steep conveyance angles. These hard-wearing materials can significantly increase the service life of conveyor belts and prevent time-intensive maintenance and repair work. The corrugated sidewall belts are tested in our own test facilities to ensure their excellent quality.
The Sidewall design ensures maximum flexing without fatigue, the profile has excellent vertical stability for load retention and return side support. The design allows for high compression to ensure smooth inner deflection around small radii. Another important design feature is that the Sidewalls can be pressed from both sides when mounting. This offers much higher bond strengths and security. The fabric insertion is of the diagonal type which gives excellent tear resistance and also allows the Sidewall to flex more easily. The rubber compounds used have been tested to ensure maximum flexibility along with high abrasion resistance and high tensile strength.
