Application |
The Z-Tie Holder is another method for attaching walers and also be used for strong backs. The Z-Tie Holder is used in combination with waler ties which come in two lengths to accommodate double 2"×4" and double 2"×6" lumber walers. Once the waler tie is fastened to the forms with standard wedge bolts, the lumber is positioned on each side of the tie then the Z-Tie holder is slipped over the tie and the wedge is pushed down to tighten the assembly. Waler Ties are used with the Z-Tie Holder. Waler Ties come in two lengths to accommodate 2"×4" and 2"×6" lumber. Strong Back/Stiff Back Ties are used with the Z-Tie Holder. These ties come in 3 lengths and are used for vertical strong backs. |
