Basalt fiber multi-axial fabric is made of continuous basalt fiber by multi-layer and by multi-direction weaving.
Depend on the layer quantity, the fabric is divided into:
- Basalt fiber unidirection fabric
- Basalt fiber biaxial fabric

Usually the weaving angle is divided into 0°, 45°,90°
This fabric gives the builder the ability to control the amount of fibre concentration in the areas requiring it. The 0° or 90° fibres add strength across the hull with the 45° fibres adding additional cross bracing and torsional stability.
